Amara - New Mermaid Painting

Amara is my latest ORIGINAL painting that I have completed. She is 8 x 10” with a white border left around the edge for easy framing. She is absolutely stunning in person. This is going to be a hard one to give up. She’s sort of a companion piece to my Aelita and Jax painting. They are both done in the Art Nouveau style with very intricate borders.
I had fun trying to adapt that idea to a mermaid painting. I incorporated shells and other sea-life into elaborate scrollwork to create the border. It’s completed with a beautiful ocean water in shades of blue, pink and green. I hope you enjoyed looking at Amara and perhaps adding her to your collection!
